Matt's Turkeys

Directed by Gregg Mitman

Birds never had it so good

Thanks to the efforts of farmers like Matthew Smith of Blue Valley Gardens, heritage turkeys have come back to their native Wisconsin home. With a little love and respect, Matt Smith gives them the best 35 weeks of their life.

Camera: Erika Simon, Jesse Mursky-Fuller
Music: "Turkey in the Straw," Sara Shaten, solo violin
Thanks: Judith Helfand, Sarita Siegel and Erika Simon for their keen critical eye and support and to all the students in our production class for their energy and enthusiasm. My heartfelt thanks to Matt Smith, whose love of people, birds, and the land makes a difference for us all.
