People

Our faculty, staff and students span more than 40 natural and social science, engineering and humanities departments across the UW-Madison campus and are dedicated to interdisciplinary environmental scholarship, education and community engagement.

Armed with a diversity of perspectives and expertise, we tackle local concerns, global challenges and the connections between them. Our joining together of disciplines translates into research and education that matters to the community and to the planet.

Beyond campus, we build professional partnerships with people in government, business, the nonprofit sector and academic institutions.

Together, we conduct a host of community programs and events that promote a more environmentally, economically and socially sustainable world. We also support resources on and off campus that strengthen our community.
