As director of The Nature Conservancy's Upper Mississippi River program, Rebecca Smith works across state lines to improve water quality, reconnect floodplains and improve water flow via infrastructure advancements. Smith directed The Nature Conservancy's conservation programs in Wisconsin for 15 years. She currently serves on the boards of Gathering Waters and Wisconsin Lakes.
