Data
CCR scientists generate and integrate a variety of modeled and observational climate data to study the processes governing the past, present, and future states of Earth’s climate system. Available climate data sets include downscaled regional and global climate projections and paleoclimate simulations from earth system models. Available datasets, along with descriptions and contact information, are listed below.
Innovative and Novel Computational Impact on Theory and Experiment (INCITE) NCAR CCSM simulation for 21,000 years BP to present
Simulation of RTransient Climate Evolution over the last 21000 years. TraCE-21ka, a collaborative NSF project between UW-Madison and NCAR. Monthly time series of the atmospheric model variables are available for download on the Earth System Grid.

Downscaled CCSM3 Paleoclimate Simulations for North America
Downscaled CCSM3 paleoclimate simulations for North America for every 1000 years from 21,000 years ago to the present.

10-Minute Downscaled Climate Projections
Future climate projections from the World Climate Research Programme's (WCRP's) CMIP3 multi-model dataset are statistically downscaled using the CRU CL 2.0 20th century climate dataset. The CMIP3 multi-model datasets also were used by the IPCC for the 4th Assessment Report.
